Soloing bosses with an Asssassin
Purpose
I started doing this to get green drops... I was inspired by a poster who said mending was for soloists only. (In my PvE Generic Assassin thread)
Intro
Okay, so first off. You gotta find an item you want http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Canthan...ing_Jea_Island Wiki has every green listed for your convience. Second the boss needs to be secluded by himself (preferably) or within the perimeter of an easily killed mob. I realize this isn't possible on every boss, perhaps other builds will spawn from this "simplistic" one.
Build
9 Healing Prayers
15 Dagger Mastery (Bladed Mask + Major Rune)
10 Critical Strikes (Minor Rune)
Golden Lotus Strike (or Unsuspecting Strike), Golden Pheonix Strike, Horns of the Ox, Falling Spider, Twisted Fangs, Purge Conditions (or Dash), Healing Breeze, Mending.
Unsuspecting Strike - For more initial damage
Dash - To be able to get to your target faster
How to do it
Okay I'll use my first "assassination" as an example.
Your target... Xuekao, the Deceptive
The location... http://xennon.co.uk/eliteskills/Xuekao.JPG
The reward... Daggers of Xuekao + {E} Way of the Empty Palm
What you gotta do is leave Maatu Keep from the entrance that points you to Pongmei valley. Follow the path according to the map, you will encounter jade guild members. Simply run from them, or pick them off 1 by 1. (Only 2 aggro at a time from what I've seen). Approach Xuekao, the Deceptive land your combo on him cast healing breeze then run. He will chase you, once he turns back land it on him again. Repeat as needed...
The end result.

too bad...not many bosses let you kill them like that...Xuekao may be the only one that don't have minions stand by them..

I have noticed Assassin bosses do not agro with mobs, thus they are the easiest to get 1 on 1 with.

With mending on, you don't really need lead attack as you can start with the golden phoenix and be already at offhand.
Also I'd consider taking an elite like flashing blades. Also consider taking blinding powder.
Like Phoenix strike+Power+Whatever you want really.

Running away and waiting for the poison to slowly kill him is all nice and dandy but...it's more fun just beating him senseless in one go with Critical Defenses.
Video: http://www.filefactory.com/?33f3d2
(ps. it doesn't always work that smoothly, and Seeping Wound {Elite} instead of Watch Yourself helps kill him faster)

I'm sure plenty of builds work. All you really need is blinding powder actually and golden phoenix strike. It's like a constant blind on him.

The same principle also works on Chkrr Locust Lord (assassin boss) at Melandru's Hope. The tricky part is pulling him away from his little island but after that it's nearly as simple as with Xuekao. Running away and waiting for the poison to deal damage is nearly impossible since the whole area is crawling with baddies (including healers) and pulling him is hard and not always succesful. It's better to use Critical Defenses and if/when that runs out, Shadow Form {Elite}. This fight is tougher and if he gets his attacks through and slams a Leaping Mantis Sting+Jungle Strike+Twisting Fangs combo on you...ouch!
Might make a video of the run but at this point it's more trouble than it's worth...oh and Chkkr's Pincers are 15^50, 3/1, +30hp so not too shabby, eh?

Well, I created a video for farming Chkrr Locust Lord as well. The first part is a bit blurry so I'll go over the stats (which aren't set in stone, mind you).
Download the video here: http://www.filefactory.com/?3952c1
You'll need a long bow for this since pulling doesn't always work without one. Also, timing is critical here, to get the perfect pull you have to start running to him as soon as you're out of Lutgardis Conservatory. Otherwise expect the mobs to start a camping trip on his little island. If a mob near him follows you after taking a shot with the bow, use Sprint to break their pursuit and try pulling again.
Assassin / Warrior
Dagger Mastery 10+1+3
Shadow Arts 10+1
Critical Strikes 11+1
Jagged Strike
Golden Phoenix Strike
Horns of the Ox
Falling Spider
Sprint
Shadow Form {Elite}
Shadow Refuge
Critical Defenses
Equipment: Longbow, Daggers of Xuekao (+20% enchantments really helps with Critical Defenses).
Basically just use Critical Defenses and do the dagger combo a couple times until he's down to half health or less. After that it's safe to put Shadow Form on so he doesn't get any lucky strikes through, repeat the combo for the kill. It takes a bit practise and luck to master pulling and not getting killed.
And anyway, the prize:

Why use a lead and golden phoenix strike? If you want the bleeding you could go GPS, horns, falling, twisting fangs. You also get deep wound, but I'm not sure if that would help much.

True, switching Jagged Strike for Twisting Fangs makes the runs go a little bit faster. Critical Strikes @ 13 means Bleeding/Deep Wound last for 18s (half the duration on bosses, of course) so I would recommend it over Jagged Strike.

I want you to know: Rajazan has been killed by my assassin, solo and I think assassins are being underrated in the ways of farming so I will tell you my build:
A/R
Palm Strike
Unsuspecting Strike
Offhand (some dagger mastery offhand attack that cant be blocked or evaded recharge time 8 seconds or so)
Critical strike ( I think thats the name, dual attack that is always a crit)
Troll Unguent
Storm Chaser
Dark Escape
Critical Eye
I use a superior critical rune on a mask of crits, and a superior shadow arts rune on my shadow mask. I run to rajazan first with the sup shadow, then I kill him with sup crits.
Rajazan is close to the kurzick portal but u can only come there via harvest temple.
First there is a huge amount of enemies you can just run by. Troll whenever you can and use storm chaser - dark escape indefinately. Then you can see him, he is a necro boss. Storm chaser past him and his group, the group will stop following but the boss won't. You can then whipe the boss out, just keep troll unguent up.
Note: He doesn't always follow at once, sometimes it may take a few tries. The enemies he's surrounded with have cripple so watch it . He uses Chillblains so enchants are no good.
Further more I use a bow from an ascalon settlement quest that gives -2 dmg reduction with a +5 armor mod, and a Green cermonial daggers (zealous +30 hp 15^50) to kill him with, but u can also kill him with normal daggers (have tried) and run to him with normal daggers.
He doesn't drop it at once ! I killed him atleast 10 times in a group and 10 times alone before it dropped. Then I gave it to a friend, that's why I farmed it :P
He can drop rajazans fervor, a +5 energy +20% enchanting cold dmg sword. (worth some money atm)
I think a run takes about 5 minutes when you are trained. if he drops 1/20 that means you would have to farm 1 hour and 40 minutes to get one
I saw it getting sold at 90K so I think its a good time/price way of farming.
I write this in this thread because I liked the assassination Idea and used it to get my own pair of green daggers. Shame assasssins is written in the title instead of assassins
For, now, assassins get rich as long as its possible, soon we all know about this because guru is a mighty influence on gameplay !
Good luck to all of you assassins!

Lintsi, I've got a quick question for you: How do you get to Melandru's Hope (i.e. what zone did you start from, I can't tell in the vid). Also, what type of armor are you using for this (It looks like it might be the +15 armor while attacking...I'm not sure).
To those of you having trouble using the Xeukao farming build here, I have a much easier one that doesn't need a sup rune. (I use 1 minor rune for daggers).
12 crit
8 shadow
4 tactics
rest in dagger mastery
1.) Golden Phoenix Strike
2.) Critical Strike
3.) Wild Blow
4.) Critical Eye
5.) Shadow Refuge
6.) Critical Defenses
7.) "Watch Yourself!"
8.) Sprint
The build is very similair to Lintsi's, but it focuses on doing damage while keeping Critical Defenses active. Critical Eye makes your critical strikes equivalent to 18 critical strikes and you get an additional +1 energy per critical hit. If you use a minor critical strikes rune, each crit will give you +4 energy.
Your general combo when fighting Xuekao:
(pull him with a bow and use critical eye while the arrow is in mid-air). Take a second shot and swap to daggers. Turn on critical defenses and use combo:
Golden Phoenix Strike
Critical Strike
Watch Yourself!
Shadow Refuge
Wild Blow
repeat, using "Watch Yourself!" as it comes up. Refresh Critical Eye when it's up. If you can't manage to get critical defenses back up in time (something happens with your energy and you can't refresh it fast enough to prevent it from dropping), use Sprint and run around the little stretch of dirt that looks like a racing track until you have enough energy to use Critical Defenses again.
so far I've gotten 3 sets of daggers off of him today. 3 yesterday when I did this with a team.
If you can't manage to solo him, a Channeling Ritualist or an SS necromancer are both great things to bring along, they will cut through him almost effortlessly.
